LAKE TAHOE RELAY, OCT 3, 2020
Natalie Wieland (see photos below) ran our 13.1 mile leg for Ponderosa High School! She did it in 1:33, a 7:07 pace on a tough route that started with a climb up to Spooner Summit!

This weekend the organizers of the DeCelle Memorial Lake Tahoe have put together a single team made up of runners from all of the High Schools in El Dorado County (except Oak Ridge). Proceeds from donations will be split equally between all involved High Schools (UM, PONDO, ED, & SLT).

The giving page is HERE (DeCelle Memorial)

The purpose for this year's relay was to secure the continuity of the Longest Running Relay in the USA at 56 years. The relay was initiated to honor Robert DeCelle Jr. who was killed in the Vietnam War. Marine Richard Hunter, a blind para-olympian marathonor will run the anchor leg.
